New look, same Blog

New title, new picture, new layout.

I decided to update the look of this blog, since I'm no longer working just at Jamestown and I'm no longer spending all of my time on the ships. I've started the part of my job that is the majority (7 months of teaching, 2 months of working on site like on the ships, and 3 months of vacation). I needed to change things around on here to better reflect what I'll be writing about.

A bit of info on the picture with my new title... No, I don't take the credit for it. Not my photography and it isn't my Mom's either (she took the gorgeous picture that used to be posted here of me furling the sail). The farm is located right on the Colonial Parkway here in Williamsburg and belongs to the family of the first black radio evangelist, Elder Soloman Lightfoot Michaux. That farm is literally worth millions of dollars because of its location, and acts as a summer camp for local children to learn about farm animals and what life is like working on a farm. The history is really fascinating, and it sure makes for a gorgeous photo for the time being. Once I hit the road around the "Old Dominion State" I will certainly take tons of pictures, and maybe I can replace the Gospel Spreading Farm with a photo of my own.
