It happened!!!!!

I’m writing this very quickly from my cubicle at work (I don’t think my supervisors will be as impressed with my blog like all of you are). Today was not a travel day or a teaching day, but just sit-around-the-office-doing-paperwork day. Luckily for me, the Foundation offered free flu shots at the Yorktown Victory Center about 10 minutes from my office. After puttering around the cube for a bit, I headed over. And what…or rather who…do I find at the Yorktown Victory Center?! To be completely honest, I don’t know who they were. But they were some class, on a field trip. And all of their faces lit up, and I heard their little voices calling out, “Miss Sara! Miss Sara! You said we wouldn’t see you on our field trip!” Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh man. I have not a clue who this little darlings were—but I think I’m safe in assuming that they were some of the nearly 1,000 (yes I keep count!) students I taught during the month of October.
