Another FUN FILLED Week!!

I'm writing this from all the way out in Smyth County, about an extra hour or so farther than where I was last week. I haven't even had time to write because I've been so busy!! So much has happened where I immediately think, "This is definitely going in my blog." For example, today my hands-on teaching approach took on a whole new meaning for one young boy. I handed him an artifact, and he showed off the fact that he has six thumbs. Yep, count 'em, six.

I want to make sure I get it all...hiking through Hungry Mother State Park (what a name!), visiting one of the two oldest Indian Reservations in our nation (the Pamunkey/Mattaponi), seeing some Ice Age fossils (like a Wooly Mammoth that were preserved in salt muck), and even going to Tennessee (never been there before yesterday).

Right now its just too late. I'll try and get all those great stories up by the weekend. Tomorrow is my final day of teaching, plus a very long 7 hour drive back to Williamsburg, so I better get some rest. I mostly wanted to get up a picture of where I spent the week to show how far out I am (that's for you, Katie!! and I hope you are feeling better!).
