Chip!!!

Jamestown is going wonderfully, and nothing new to post concerning work really. I may sit down and write a bit about my "mentor" because he really is something else. Every new employee on the ships is assigned a mentor, who you routinely talk to about practicing new knots or new demonstrations (like setting sails) etc. Well my mentor is a fantastically interesting and extremely knowledgeable---and quite chatty---South African Englishman. Yes, you read that correctly. Like I said, fantastically interesting. We'll save that for another post though because right now I can't think of anything else and I am beside myself with excitement because any day now I will be picking up a new baby hedgehog!! Not just hogsitting, but as a permanent addition to my life. When I pick him up from the breeder's house, he will be just under 6 weeks old...2 inches long and 30 grams. Oh, and his name is officially Chip!!

Needless to say, I will post pictures as soon as I have him home with me!! Until then, here are the pictures that the breeder took:
