UPDATE: THIS PICTURE IS ACTUALLY NORMAN!!

I forgot to include this news in yesterday's post...Crusty Old Sailor's contract with the Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation is up in June, so he's looking for new jobs. I don't want him to go, because we really get along wonderfully. Yesterday, a tearful woman approached me to tell me about the "awful man with a big bushy beard" who yelled at her and her children. As she is lodging this complaint with me, I have to interrupt her so that I myself can yell at her children, who are running around the ship like maniacs. We are a place for children--and everyone--to have fun, but the ships are a very dangerous place where safety is key. So I just had to tell her that Crusty Old Sailor is a great safety officer, and that her children need to be under control or else he will make sure that they are escorted off of the pier. Later on, I tell Crusty Old Sailor that this mom came up to me in tears about him, he got such a kick out of it! He told me how he was going out of town next weekend for a job interview, and if I would mind petsitting Norman. I went ahead and told him I'm allergic to cats, and don't have the patience for dogs. No worries--Norman is an African Pygmy Hedgehog!! Apparently super easy to take care of: stay in their cage all day and just require about 30 minutes of running around at night. They entertain themselves with toilet paper rolls, and I'm just responsible for fresh food and water each morning. Will the new experiences offered to me at this new job never end?
