Lots to Do

Short post for now---a bit of work to do so hopefully I can pass a few clearings tomorrow and be able to start interpreting. Tonight I need to develop 3-5 minute interpretations for knot tying, 17th century navigation, and artillery. This all means I'm taking a break from the technical sailing terminology and focusing on the historic content so that the school groups will get the most out of my 5 minute visits on the pier! Then back to reading up so I am prepared for any question that gets thrown my way.

I came across the following Mark Twain quote this afternoon. How perfectly fitting:

"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed
by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did.
So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor.
Catch the trade winds in your sails.
Explore. Dream. Discover."
